Embarking on a backpacking trip to Rajasthan’s most breathtaking and historically rich cities like Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer offers an incredibly topmost experience for travelers. Rajasthan, ‘The Land of Kings’ or ‘The Land of Kingdom’ is India’s largest state by area. The state is situated in the north-west part of the country and is a realm of cultural diversity.

Primarily, we’ll explore the ‘City of Lakes’ also known as ‘White City’ which is Udaipur, famous for its pristine lakes like Lake Pichola, historic forts like Sajjangarh Fort also known as ‘Monsoon Palace’ and City Palace, galleries, museums we’ll explore all these places which are mentioned in our itinerary as well as local market where travelers can find Rajasthan’s famous traditional bandhani and batik sarees, handmade juttis, oxidized silver and camel jewelry for women and traditional clothing for men as well and we’ll get to relish the taste of traditional Rajasthani’s cuisine also enjoy the cultural performances at Bagore ki Haveli.

After exploring ‘White City’ we’ll advance towards Kumbhalgarh Fort also known as ‘The Great Wall of India’ one of the most alluring Forts of the Rajasthan, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and next we’ll stop by to visit the Maharana Pratap Museum in Haldighati, constructed in the honor of Mewari Rana, before arriving at our next destination Jodhpur ’. It is the second largest city in Rajasthan with its genesis going back to 1459 AD. Jodhpur is also known as the ‘Blue City’ which makes perfect sense since most of its palaces, forts and temples are painted in shades of blue. In Jodhpur, you’ll be awestruck by the grandeur of Mehrangarh Fort, the serene beauty of Jaswant Thada, The royal beauty of Umaid Bhawan and the vibrant chaos of the old city’s narrow lanes and bustling markets.

The clock tower and Sardar Market offer a sensory overload of spices, textiles, and handicrafts while affordable lodging and local delicacies like Mirchi vada and Mawa kachori add to the experience.

Finally Jaisalmer, ‘The Golden City’ captivates with its living fort, labyrinthine streets and golden hue at sunsets. Highlights include the famous architectural splendor of Patwon Ki Haweli, the adventure of camel safaris at sam sand dunes and the tranquility of Gadisar Lake.   • Head out to explore Rajasthan’s lake city and various heritage wonders. Visit Udaipur’s City Palace and experience the grandeur and rich history of Mewar region. The City Palace offers panoramic views of Pichola Lake and the entire white city. Move towards Sajjangarh Fort also known as Monsoon Palace situated on a hilltop.
  • A trip to Udaipur will remain incomplete without soaking in the serenity of its freshwater lakes. Visit the mesmerizing Lake Pichola, go out in the market area for shopping and lip-smacking street food options.

  • Wake up early and post breakfast, check-out from our hotel in Udaipur and drive to Jodhpur - Rajasthan’s blue city.
  • Enroute Jodhpur, we will take a halt and visit Kumbhalgarh Fort also known as The Great Wall of India, one of the most beautiful forts in Rajasthan and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next we will visit Maharana Pratap Museum in Haldighati built in honor of Mewari Rana and his battle with the Mughals.

  • We will visit Umaid Bhawan Palace to witness the royalty and one of the largest private residencies in the world. Experience the grandeur of Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts positioned in Rajasthan perched on top of a perpendicular cliff. We will end our blue city exploratory tour at Jaswant Thada, a cenotaph dedicated to Mewar kings and commonly known as the Taj Mahal of Mewar.

  • Wake up early and post breakfast, check-out from our hotel in Jodhpur and drive to Jaisalmer - Rajasthan’s golden city.
  • After arriving in Thar Desert, check-in to our campsite located in Sam Sand Dunes, freshen-up and have some leisure.
  • Get ready and head out for Camel Safari in Thar Desert. Witness the beautiful sunset while enjoying your camel ride. Experience the thrill in Jeep Dune Bashing.
  • In the evening, enjoy a warm bonfire with Rajasthani folk music, Kalbelia dance and quick snacks.
  • Savour home-style cooked Rajasthani dinner and overnight stay in camps.
  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, check-out from our campsite in Sam Sand Dunes and drive towards Jaisalmer old city. Enroute, we'll visit Kuldhara village, an abandoned village dating back to 200 hundred years.
  • Head out to explore India’s only living fort - Jaisalmer Fort. Take a walk in this magnificent historic fort and learn the legends associated with it. Visit other major attractions like Gadsisar Lake, Patwon Ki Haveli, etc.
  • Feel free to explore the local market and taste different cuisines at recommended themed cafes/restaurants.
  • In the evening, start-off your return journey to Udaipur.
  • Reach Udaipur early in the morning with lots of amazing memories and unforgettable experiences.
