About Nag Tibba Trek Package

Nag Tibba Trek is a popular destination situated in the Garhwal region of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. It is positioned at an elevation of 3,022 meters (9,915 ft) above sea level, and is also the highest peak in the lower Himalayan region of the Garhwal Himalayas division.

Nag Tibba Trek is also known as Serpent’s Peak due to the local tribe and geographical features of the area. The term Nag means “snake” or serpent and “Tibba” means Peak, so Nag Tibba translates to Serpent’s Peak in English. Nag Tibba Trek is one of the uncomplicated and beginner-friendly treks to go on with Friends and Family over a short weekend.

This weekend trek gives opportunity to every trekker to experience one of the most wonderful views of Himalayan peaks such as Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kedarnath and Gangotri and also lend insight of himalayan villages, lush green valleys, and dense forest of oak and rhododendron along the way.

Itinerary

  • Assemble at boarding point in Delhi - Akshardham Metro Station.
  • Start an overnight journey to Pantwari and socialize with your co-travellers.
  • Head towards village Pantwari which is located at an altitude of 4,642 ft.
  • The road to Pantwari passes through Mussoorie-the queen of hills, Kempty Falls, and with the Yamuna river trailing on our side,
  • Will reach Pantwari at around 10 Am.
  • At Pantwari, we will take breakfast and after some rest, start the trek towards camp.
  • The initial Nag Tibba trek passes through a goat village and then continues on the spur of the mountain. The rest of the trek goes through a dense forest of rhododendron and small bugyal or meadow. The complete Nag Tibba trek is on an even surface except for some stretches.
  • We will reach camp after 5-6hours trek.
  • After arriving at the campsite, relax. Have dinner with bonfire. Night stay in the camps.
  • After having breakfast at the campsite.
  • Will start the trek to the Nag Tibba Summit early morning.
  • After a little hike, we will reach Nag Tibba Base, which is a large clearing with a temple dedicated to the Serpent God.
  • The trek continues from here into the forest on a steep incline, likely to be submerged in the snow in the winter.
  • Close to the top, the trail will turn through a ridge and finally take you to the flag marking Nag Tabba jhandi, or summit.
  • The View from the summit brings us face to face with the Garhwal Himalayas. The canvas of the sky lights up with ice-capped ranges of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Kala Nag, and more.
  • After spending some time on the top, we will descend on the same trail to return to camp. After Lunch will again descend to Pantwari and will be reached by sundown.
  • Start your journey to Delhi and reach by next morning around 6 Am (tentative).
